Websites for cafes
Websites for cafés. £499, live in 7 days.
Almost everyone looking at a café website is within a mile of it and wants to know three things: are you open, where are you, and is there anything left.
Free, no card details needed, and a reply within one working day.
- You see a real design of your site before you pay anything
- Live within 7 days of approving it and sending your content
- The site and the domain are yours, transferred free whenever you ask
A concept design built to show what a cafe's site could look like. Not a real client. See the four live sites and all six concepts
What a cafe's site has to get right
"Are you open?" takes four taps to answer
It's the most asked question you get and it's usually two clicks into an About page. On a phone, on a wet Tuesday, that's a customer who went somewhere else.
The menu is a photo of a chalkboard
Google can't read it, phones can't zoom it well, and nobody with an allergy can search it. The menu is the page people actually want, so it needs to be text.
Your Google hours are wrong and it's costing you
More people see your Google listing than your website. If bank holidays and summer hours aren't right there, the site behind it doesn't matter.
What we put on it
Every site is designed around the trade first and your café second. This is the starting list, and it changes depending on whether you do functions, deliveries or neither.
- Opening hours and today's offering on the first screen, before anything else
- The menu as real text, so search engines and allergy filters can read it
- Directions and parking, because half your visitors are round the corner
- Your Google Business Profile set up and correct, hours included
- Space for functions and bookings, if you take them
- Photos of the actual food, taken on a phone in daylight, which beats stock every time
What people actually type
These are the searches worth owning. A surprising number of them are about hours, parking and allergies rather than about coffee.
- “coffee shop near me open now”
- “breakfast Southend”
- “bakery Billericay”
- “dog friendly cafe Essex”
- “gluten free lunch Brentwood”
- “cafe with parking Basildon”
What the 5 pages actually are
Not filler. Each page answers something people ask at the counter every week, which is the same thing they type before they set off.
- 1Home
Open or closed, where you are, and what came out of the oven this morning.
- 2Menu
Real text, not a photo of a chalkboard, so allergy searches find you.
- 3Opening hours and find us
Including bank holidays, plus parking and the nearest station.
- 4Functions and bookings
Only if you take them. If you don't, the page comes out.
- 5About
Short. Nobody reads a café's history, but Google likes knowing who you are.
No reviews yet, and we're not inventing any
Rather than invent reviews, the work page carries four live sites you can open, and six concept designs, one of them a bakery, so you can see the standard for yourself.
And rather than ask you to commit first, we design your homepage free. If it isn't right, nothing is owed and nothing is signed.
What you're covered by
- Nothing to pay until you have seen your design and approved it
- Hours and menu somewhere you can change yourself in a minute
- Your Google listing set up or cleaned up, and linked
- The site and the domain in your name, handed over free whenever you ask
We take what we can finish in a week. That limit is what keeps the seven days real.
What it costs
Starter, £499 · 5 pages
499
Paid once, after you have seen and approved your design.
Twelve months hosting comes with it, then £15 a month. Domains are £13 a year in your name, or your current one is pointed over for nothing. Every price, in full
No money and no commitment at this point. Just the design.
Questions cafes ask
The menu changes every week. Is that a problem?
No. Daily specials go in a section you can change yourself, or email them over and they're up the same morning on the care plan. The fixed menu stays put.
Do we need a website if we're busy on Instagram?
Instagram tells people who already follow you. A website gets found by the person searching "breakfast near me" who has never heard of you, and that's the one you're missing.
Can people order online?
They can, but be honest about whether you want that. If you take three orders a week it adds cost and hassle for no gain. If you take thirty, it's a Bespoke build and worth doing properly.
Where your customers are
A café's customers come from a few streets and a station, not from a county, so the site says exactly where you are and how to reach you. We're in Basildon and build across the ten towns below.
Other trades
Each one has its own concept design and its own list.
